What Happened to Gagler's Joke of The Day and the Other Free Lists?

Well, we grew and grew....from just 9 people to reaching over 275,000 folks each and everyday via email (and remember, they opted in vs. me spamming them).  It was time to call it quits during the summer of 2001.

Basically, the Internet as it used to be died - from over a year backlog of ad sales to no one wanting to pay enough for advertising to cover our fixed costs, mouths at the the household had to be fed, etc., etc.  I also went and got a "real" job - I am actually a CPA.

I appreciate all of the contributions, suggestions, hate (e.g., constructive) mail throughout the years....even the "Name The Baby" contest we sent out that generated over 17,000 responses.  I love you all!

Many folks have asked me to repost all of the joke, trivia, and other archives from our past mailings.  I had to take that down due to server space on my previous hosting company - but I am slowly building it back up.

If you've stumbled on this web site due to some of the older links on Yahoo or Google (I haven't sent an email out since the end of May 2001 and the number of links still surprise me) - the humor, etc. lists are still here: they are just being managed by someone else - click on the "Subscribe" button on the top left and signup for some of their many entertaining lists.
