"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.  And walk in
love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant
offering and sacrifice to God."

    - Ephesians 5:1-2

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.  Is there anything too
hard for Me?"

    - Jeremiah 32:27

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

    - Romans 10:17

"For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which
is Jesus Christ."

    - 1 Corinthians 3:11

And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is
made perfect in weakness."  Therefore most gladly I will rather boast
in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

    - 2 Corinthians 12:9

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness..."

    - Galatians 5:22

"If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have
love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic
powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and I if I
have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am
nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body
so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is
patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or
rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or
resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the
truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things,
endures all things.  Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will
come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it
will come to an end. For we know only in part, and we prophecy only in
part; but when the complete comes, the partial will come to an end.
When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I
reasoned like a child; when I became an adult, I put an end to
childish ways. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see
face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as
I have been fully known. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these
three; and the greatest of these is love."

- 1 Corinthians 13

"He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice, a
God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He."

    - Deuteronomy 32:4

"I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in
Christ Jesus."

    - Philippians 3:14

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His
might."

    - Ephesians 6:10

"Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with
thanksgiving..."

    - Colossians 4:2

"...pray without ceasing..."

    - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction,
so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,
with the Comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

    - II Corinthians 1:3-4

"I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and
want.  I can do all things in Him who strengthens me."

    - Philippians 4:12b-13

"Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is
infinite."

    - Psalms 147:5

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does
not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of the truth."

    - 2 Timothy 2:15

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen."

    - Hebrews 11:1

"My beloved is mine, and I am his.  He feeds his flock among the
lilies."

    - Song of Songs 2:16

"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another,
that you may be healed.  The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous
man awaits much."

    - James 5:16

"Let us draw near with a full heart in full assurance of faith, with
our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies
washed with pure water."

    - Hebrews 10:22

Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.  My
Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with
him.  He who does not love me will not obey my teaching.  These words
you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.  All
this I have spoken while still with you.  But the Counselor, the Holy
Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all
things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  Peace I
leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the
world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.'  If
you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the
Father is greater than I.  I have told you now before it happens, so
that when it does happen you will believe."

    - John 14:23-29

"This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved
you.  Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life
for his friends."

    - John 15:12-13

"If only there were someone to arbitrate between us, to lay his hand
upon us both, someone to remove God's rod from me, so that his terror
would frighten me no more.  Then I would speak up without fear of him,
but as it now stands with me, I cannot."

    - Job 9:33-35

One day when Job's sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine
at the oldest brother's house, a messenger came to Job and said, "The
oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, and the Sabeans
attacked and carried them off.  They put the servants to the sword,
and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!"  While he was
still speaking, another messenger came and said, "The fire of God fell
from the sky and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the
only one who has escaped to tell you!"  While he was still speaking,
another messenger came and said, "The Chaldeans formed three raiding
parties and swept down on your camels and carried them off.  They put
the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to
tell you!"  While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came
and said, "Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at
the oldest brother's house, when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from
the desert and struck the four corners of the house.  It collapsed on
them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell
you!"  At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head.
Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: "Naked I came from my
mother's womb, and naked I will depart.  The Lord gave and the Lord
has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised."  In all this,
Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

    - Job 1:13-22

"Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only."

    - James 1:22
